Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Early nights are mandatory when it's cold and wet, especially in the van. We don't have a heater Dot and bed is the best place to thaw out. Besides I been forced to leave my bed at some ungodly hour, just to be ready to sell my wares. Well an 8am out of bed is not my style at all, so I am tired enough to head off to bed, with a good book to read for a couple of hours, while I thaw out.
So goodnight all, and if you are in SA enjoy the heat while we are suffering with filthy winds and heavy rain. xxx

Good onyu Deborah, curled up with a good book and in a warm bed listening to the rain. Have a productive sales day in the morning. It is nice and cool at night but the days are still too warm for me to stay outside for extended times. Norman the Galah isn't back to being 100% he seems very reluctant to fly but uses the branches to get to the food and water, shall watch and see how he goes still have no idea how old he is. Anyway goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Talking of reluctant fliers...
Had a sad incident yesterday.
Spotted a Corella on the golf course being dive-bombed by our tame Magpies. He only ran to get away. Never took flight.
I figured he's probably someone's pet who never learned to fly or had a broken wing or somesuch.
Went out & followed him across two fairways before I caught up with him. Standing over him, he still didn't take flight.
However, when I tried to grab him to take him to next-door's aviary, the little so&so showed me how sharp his beak was!
Wouldn't let go, either. Have wounds to prove it.
After two attempts to get him to bite a stick while I grabbed him - both painfully unsuccessful - I just herded him toward a tree & let him climb to safety.
I hope he survives.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I finished the book and have to go home to get some more books. Well the trading today was pretty shxx, but a good time was had by all. The fundraising and mischief are all a big part of this particular event... especially after winning a bag of dinosaur pooh in the cent auction. Oh I feel so lucky.... not.
Hope the galah isn't as old as I am feeling just now!
Sleepy from packing up by 3 and driving as far as Tamworth before the heavy rain drove us to a stop. Caravan park is huge and sent us to anywhere that suited us. Staying hooked up for the night and ready to take off for home after breakfast. I know this place is packed in January when the country music festival is on. But we have taken over the equivalent of four of their January sites. That is a good reason for not travelling when everyone else is.
So it's goodnight from me xxx

Orth Surgeon says bone is not knitting. Time to consider a Plan B.
Will be attending a conf of all Orth Surgeons in Albury region in mid/late April. Probable surgery after that to reinforce break with a plate
