:tanks" Legal matter

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

:tanks" Legal matter

Post by Keith Morris »

"tanks" here---I NOW FEEL THAT I HAVE SOMETHING TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE FORUM---

At long last after 18 months of stress with the insurance carrier for UFI I have decided to accept their latest offer to settle this claim.
The insurance carrier would not consider a Loss of Use claim(6 months in workshops) nor a claim for disruption of my trip around Australia as the Winnebago is not a income earning vehicle.

I have elected to settle the claim now rather than prolong the matter to a Court hearing which could take a further 6 to 9 months before a hearing date is allocated by the Court . I have achieved a settlement to cover all of my out-of-pocket costs, plus the legal costs, plus I now have a brand new engine, injectors, turbo charger, diesel fuel pump and water pump.
The paperwork will take a few weeks to finalise and then Mr.Russell and I are ON THE ROAD to Queensland for winter via the Nullabore, Port Augusta, Broken Hill etc.

Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

OK, so maybe we can organise a get together out at your new Qld ranch Tanks?
Do we need to bring paint brushes, high pressure cleaners and missionaries? (won't go into the last one!)

Good move Keith, settle and get on with your travels. Hope to see you over this side of the country before we head back to the west next year. I can hear that gold calling me.

Glad to hear your good news Keith, I wish my pack of mongrels would make a sensible offer so I could get on with my life  Do you think you'll be calling into Upper Mannum on the way through, we might even be able to arrange a snag on the BBQ and Weis bar for dessert, what dya say eh :D

Tanks, That's great to hear that you now have a resolution. Look forward to catching up with you when you get up to the 'Sunshine State'.
