Here ya go Dot.
If you need new glasses have at look at these ppl.
http://www.clearly.com.au/glasses
I've had 3 prescription glasses, (most expensive $48) and one set of sunglasses ($118) from them and I reckon they're pretty good
Delivered within a week.

Any questions, just ask ;)

OK, I will bite the bullet here. How do you know what the glasses will look like on your face and if they will fit properly if you buy online?
I have triple focussed lenses that have to be made to fit my face, how can you do that online?

If you have a look at the 'Clearly' link I posted you can upload a pic of yaself and use that to 'fit' your selected frame to.
There is also an side menu to show you actual frame sizes on each frame.
This 'Style Finder' may help.

Spend some time there and have a look around. ;)

Lance can you tell me how you go about ordering the right ones please?
I presume you go to an Optometrist to get your site checked & just ask for the prescription. Do they willingly give it to you or do you need to fight for it?
Will Spec Savers etc etc do it for you? Do you tell them before your check or after?
If before do you think they'd care as much?
In my case I have 2 different strength eyes....

Bruce, a couple of years ago I went to specsavers for prescription safety glasses, they said that they don't carry them but would do the prescription for me and I could get them at OPSM. So I did

If they would not give you a script for your glasses I would be explaining the facts of life to them and not retuning
I've had my eyes checked and watched buy an Ophthalmologist, (Eye Dr.) not an optometrist.(spectacle sales person)

If I had to use the likes of SpecSavers I'd ask for my prescription after the service, that said, I wouldn't be using them.
P'raps get a referral to an Ophthalmologist from your GP and let them look after your sight.
In my case I have 2 different strength eyes....
I think you'd find most ppl do.

Ya know, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the majority of Optometrists used the likes of Clearly to order your $500-600 spectacles. ;)
