SGIO, an insurance company that does not have standard cover on broken w/screens, ridiculous.
They deserved to lose your policies.

"tanks" here---
from my experience on several occasions I highly recommend KEN TAME. Two years ago I had had a new fiama F45 awning, and a side window glass replaced on the Sprinter. The cost of this replacement was $2,850.00.
I have very recently had a claim for a damaged rooftop aircon and a wineguard wind up tv aerial on the Leisure Seeker, which will be replaced on 26th June when the units are received from Melbourne.
This repair on the L/Seeker is quoted as $3,800.00, so I am very pleased that I have KEN TAME to support me.
I retain my no-claim-status as I paid the $30 protection.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Let's talk insurance.
We have been KT policy holders for over 10 years now. During that time we only ever had one claim for a windscreen and had no problems with that. We are looking at alternatives now due to the possibility of a severance with the CMCA. KT have advised us that when our membership is terminated, we instantly loose the CMCA benefits that I previously posted, but that our comprehensive insurance cover would continue. Thus we are seeking recommendations on alternatives. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Keith, re the "no claim protection for life" with KT. We were offered that when we signed up in 2006, at no cost to us, and that benefit has continued ever since.

To stay with CMCA @ $44/year plus $Ins commission of about $40 is still good value IMHO.
However, if the additional benefits aren't of value, then Winnebago, and APIA are worth considering.

Thanks John and Kay. The CMCA benefits whilst no doubt attractive are not absolutely essential to us these days. We no longer do the big trips that we used to. I did not know that APIA insure Campervans. Will check them out. I do know about AVIDA (ex Winnie) but not their benefits. Will check them as well.

I guess you know that Ken Tame will still insure without CMCA memberhip. You lose the added benefits, but save about $80 per year.

Give Arthur J Gallagher a call. They cover more than KT does. Windscreens no problem, $10 000 contents, they cover my enclosed car trailer and contents when connected to the MH at no additional cost. I didn't like KT insurance after he sold out.
