These things are really quite smart. All for $7.
There are a variety of them on Ali and I think this one has the best function and program.
From the advert:
this relay control panel, compatible with multiple operating modes, using three digits LED display, the program of intelligent control, time relay/delay function for automatic control, product testing, DIY and other areas.

Barboots I suggest you read up on exactly how much the ongoing consumption is!
You may be surprised!

I re-read it Bruce, and it's exactly what I recall from my original study and the display of my BMV-700. I'm curious about what is supposed to surprise me?BruceS wrote:Barboots I suggest you read up on exactly how much the ongoing consumption is!

No, you're right Barboots... no surprises for you.
You never said how much the ongoing consumption was.
2.8w it is.

Re: CellLog 8 switching ss relay
2.8w on an active system isn't very much. When the Gigavac is released there is no load, the higher load is very short duration required to pull the Gigavac closed, it requires a 20 amp fuse on the supply, anything smaller will fail after the Gigavac is powered up a few times during testing.

Re: CellLog 8 switching ss relay
I haven't priced a latching version, and I received 20% off the MX14B via an eBay promotion... but time again I'd be checking how much more the latching version is. There's no point wasting several Amp Hours a day if it's not necessary, particularly if there's only so much area available for panels.
Bruce coming from site Administration, I find your approach a little unwelcoming. If you wanted quantification of what was a general nature comment, it would be friendlier to just ask for it.
Cheers,
Steve

Re: CellLog 8 switching ss relay
My latcher cost $182 or $186 USD over there, so not a cheapie.
I don't have a problem with it totally doing a disconnect, the fridge will be good for a few hours, the eutectic fridge/freezer good for days and days.
I would rather that than a screwed battery, 64 of them are expensive to replace. I also run another GV NO contactor which fails to safe so 2 seperate systems, driven 2 seperate ways, I figure the odds of both failing at once are impossible to calculate.
