Well it seems like we are back to the grind for a bit.
Daughters partner did a dummy spit yesterday, told me I was all the nasty things on the planet, threatened to punch my lights out and just got madder and madder when I sat there smiling at him.
Guy is a complete fool. Thinks you can make the big bucks without the input.
Story is we gave the farm to the kids and their partners for 2 years so they could make some money while they were young. (Generally netts about $.5M)
That worked ok then son decided after the 2 years to move to Japan where his wife is from.
So daughter and partner took over about a year ago and we have done a bit of travelling, not too far as sometimes stuff she does not know comes up.
Then the partner decided they would move into the house they bought and run the farm by remote control which is not possible.
So, all of a sudden, huge blow up and wants to finish there and then, fine I said, away you go, but wasn't satisfied still screaming at me until daughter came back and went like "OMG, what have you done"
Long story short their tenure finishes on June 30 so we will take over again and put it on the market for one years profit (half mill)
What is it with your people these days. they were making $350 k plus and had to do a few hours for that, but it seems anything over 30 seemed too much ? Not prepared to sacrifice lifestyle for big bucks. Daughter has a career so no worries there but he goes from earning that sort of bucks to the dole in one day. Just can't work these younger ones out.
Back to the grind.

He is obviously mad. What a fantastic opportunity you offered your kids, too bad they won't run with it. Good luck selling.

So you are back home Bill- would be good to catch up for a cuppa either there or here! Life can be a bitch at times.
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

Re: Back to the grind.
Got a son in law like you Bill, has kept telling me to get a real job over and over, he is a wannabe bikie who thinks he can play guitar and got really upset when they were broke and offered my daughter to come play with us and earn some money. She has a lovely voice, plays a nice guitar and toured with us until she left home at 17, then the boys took over. Accused me of trying to ruin their marriage, so told him if he ever grows up to contact me and that's been the way it is for over a decade. Daughter drops me an email every now and then, but if she rings or texts me he goes off the planet, seems he checks her phone, texts and emails, so she sends to me from her friends computer and phone. He's a good laugh though and knows I laugh at him, which makes him even madder, so stay away and leave them to it.
Life is interesting, especially when you sit on the fringe and others think you are a bit weird, but ain't all real muso's a bit weird.

Re: Back to the grind.
Well after I told them I was happy to take it over it all calmed down for a bit.
However, it is plain as nose on face that they are not prepared to do the hours.
So changed the website to sell the biz for .5M
Got first bite within a couple of days.
And some unhappy people saying "are you selling the biz"
Looks like we will be outta it within a couple of months.
Just had to give buyers deal they could not refuse
William
