Trying to lock it on will be the problem.

Thanks Bernie.
Checked through the sockets just in case but no 54mm x 1"drive unfortunately. Certainly work ringing around the hire mobs to see if they have a 54mm x 1"drive, they sure won't be cheap to buy.

Don't be tempted to use a rattle gun, the gearset will be permanently damaged from the chattering involved at that torque and I doubt anything smaller than an 1"drive gun would shift it anyway.

$75 on Ebay.
Bernie how deep does the socket need to be? Is it a nut or bolt? Does the shaft stick out very far?

Hi Bernie
I am pretty sure I have one in the bus, was going to have a look the other day when you mentioned it.
I bought mine of eBay from NSW while staying near Wangaratta and it took 10 days, at the same time I bought a diesel heater from England and it arrived in 4 days.
If I have one I could post it to you.
Regards Geoff

I wonder if it uses locktight too?

Bernie, get a big bar, and a hydualic jack. Lift the end of the bar up using the jack. This will turn the nut or lift the bus.

54mm is 2-1/8" (53.98mm) which may be easier to beg or borrow
3/4 Drive and Long Bar should do it OK 588nm is not all that tite :)
