How do we make sure that the solar is working properly are what is said Is wright the gauge may say one thing but I actual fact sometimes else is happening to me what coming in and what going out seem to differ

What you are reading on your meter for going in and going out can be different depending on several factors.
Are you using a combo unit? Solar charge controller & inverter built into the same unit?
If so any 240V power used at the same time as the solar is charging won't be showing because it doesn't go into the battery first and then come out again.
It is a Victron gauge you have isn't it?

Mite just me but last year I'm sure I don't need to to have the 240 every second day have taken a lot of photo of the victron in ever mode will have doctor the photo to send ok

Thanks Bruce I have a victron 702 which seem to be working well in all mode but some were I still think there is a gremlin in the system pinching power
