Hey Terry, I've been trying to contact you since I got back to Oz on Saturday, any idea of your ETA in Pinjarra WA?

Sounds like you may still be on the East side, have you been to Esperance yet? :o

Cheers Neil

Not sure if Terry will be popping in here much in the next few days Neil.
He left Mannum for places over on the East Coast and then he intended coming back to Mannum before he heads over your way.
No doubt he'll be in touch once he reads this.

Thanks Bruce, I was wondering because when I last spoke to him he (they lol) intended to be in WA early June, other things must have popped up.

I'll watch & wait.

Thanks again

Neil.

Well, today I removed the grill and upper grill section from the Mazda in an attempt to sort the heater issue. Fixed the cable so the tap turns on/off from inside rather than crawling on the ground under the front. Then I removed the intake part where it changes from inside air recirculated to fresh air.... first problem, the flap does not stay shut to keep the cold outside air out. Attempted to remove that part and the bolts sheared off.... didn't need that bit anyway, glued up the hole and put those bits on the bench. Next was to find out why the fan just blew cold air through the vent.... no idea so stuffed the holes with a pr of wool socks... bonus is the demister now works 8-) The heater does circulate warm air now so that bit sorted. A look at the front body panel revealed lots of very poorly applied fibreglass lifting off, made the silly mistake of pulling it and ended up with a rust hole near one side to the other  No matter how well the heater worked it wasn't going to be able to compete with this unregulated air flow. Out with the flyscreen wire and Selleys Armourflex, glued up the holes, put the grill bits back on to hide the evidence again and now we will see if it's a tad warmer on our trip to WA :D
No, we haven't left yet

Been packing Girt for a coupla weeks now... leaving for Cairns about 5~6 Sept. Date brought fwd from 9th 'coz house-sitters, who were coming from Coober Pedy, are now coming from Corowa (10km away)! So they can be here earlier. Had them around to share dinner & meet The Hounds they'll be feeding while we're away. Mutual Admiration Society...
Yesterday I walked 3.3km, according to my pedometer, :o and all I did was walk back & forth between house and Girt. Didn't even walk to the letterbox!
Decided it might be an idea to check contents of gas bottles (OK) and 240v power to fridge etc... (not OK!). Call to Licenced Electrician (a must for 240v side)... can't come until Monday. :( To Be Continued...
Now have to check that fridge works on gas.

Back soon. 8-)
Regards & God bless,
