Well, of course.
They're sitting on the edge of the road going. "Is that Terry and Margaret in the Mazda?.... can't be, can it?"

Re: Terry & Margaret's trip to WA
They only stopped at Crystal Brook 11:30 for a cuppa and check a future job then went further on.
Just need to get Terry to fill a tank BEFORE the local shops close LOL.
Went the long way around to the Brook, you would think the short way would be great seeing they have so far to go, poor old Mazzy is earning her keep lately. Probably done more Kms this year than sshe did all the time I had her.
Be lucky if they get back before September is my bet and then back to the grindstone again.

Re: Terry & Margaret's trip to WA
It's a long way between reception spots if you use the Big T, but Margaret's optus network on her phone works
Looking at the Google map and all the places along the way I thought the usual thing, a Woolies etc... yeah right. After Ceduna those spots represent a service stn/bar/restaurant (is maybe an exaggeration)motel(another exaggeration) caravan park, all in one thing. There is a lot of bugger all between them as well
Arrived in Norsman around 7pm local time so not travelling too bad, Mazda is running well, the head wind makes it tough going during the day but come dusk the wind drops and the speed goes up from 80km/h to 105km/h, then just dodge the road kill. Last night we stopped about 20km before Eucla during the day light, yeah, strange for us I know, but today the road kill was around 3 per km, even a camel, but after Balladonia very little. Had to get fuel at Cockabilly, $175.9c/ltr thank you very much, so $70 worth got us to Balladonia, $1.65c/ltr. It was only $1.70 at Boarder Village and I thought that was supposed to be the dearest fuel on the way over
Still, $1.18/ltr at Ceduna so the tank and 2 jerry cans got us to Cockabilly, Margaret didn't want to get down to the last jerry can full so we paid the money.
We had planned to get fuel at Madura but it appeared you need to book a spot a week in advance, they were lined up from both directions and only 2 diesel bowsers, so we gave up after 20 mins and carried on.
It sure is cold here, makes Mannum look like a tropical spot, no choofer fire in a caravan park like we had at the free camps.

A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows

Something for the memory bank, on the way back aim to get fuel at Eucla which is 15km west of Border Village & can be 15cents a litre cheaper.T1 Terry wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2017 10:20 pm It's a long way between reception spots if you use the Big T, but Margaret's optus network on her phone works![]()

Mundrabilla, which is approx 65km west of Eucla is the same price, same owner.
See you soon.
