Just left QLD's rock n roll road ways
The land of perpetual leaning power posts and bouncy , twisty roads with the occasional smooth bits
Phyl had to clench the teeth and tighten the bra straps

"tanks" here---
What a day it was. I ran into George pushing a barrow part loaded with goodies in aisle 4 at the IGA Supermarket in Dysart. I did my minor shop and headed back to the "bunker" to alert "Russell" that the house guests were about to appear. "Russell" being deaf took no notice of me 'till George appeared in the toad doing a recce to see if Dot could park the Dotmobile in the front yard. PeterH had no trouble with the 5th wheeler so it was not going to be a problem for Dot (with female drivers you never know) so all was passed for parking ----now just a matter of time awaiting the arrival of Dot and the big white thing with all lights on. The little kid over the road observed the parking and remarked that there was a woman with the big bust. (He meant big bus, but he slurs his 't's) and lo and behold, Dot climbs down from the big bus and hugs all around. At this stage "Russell" was still asleep inside the bunker, unaware of all of the activity going on in the front yard.
We sat and had a chat for a while and a few cups of tea while George played with power connection and level blocks etc.
My housekeeper delivered my midday meal and then the Auspost courier delivered my new Panasonic flat-table 1000w microwave oven. George did the unpacking and lifting to install the new thing and remove the old unit, so it is now time to read the 64 page owners book to fund out how to work the thing. The AFL was on the television so not much was done in the kitchen.
Saturday is another day and when Dottie gets out of bed (around midday) we plan a cooking session to produce a moist fruit cake, following a recipe courtesy of the Forum. Dot does not like mango so I have to devour the WEIS BARS myself, how ever there is a good supply in the freezer for anyone who comes to visit. You now have a choice of WEIS BARS or MOIST FRUIT CAKE so come one come all head--- for the "Dysart Bunker" for a real experience.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
Dot, as I was too slow off the mark getting in touch with Deborah, are you coming this way? We can offer two nights free on the hard stand here with power and water. How's that for an enticement?? We will be away from Sept 3 - 27 but after that all October is available. Probably leaving to head to Tassie at the beginning of November.
Thanks Lesley for the offer but this time we are not heading your way. Have done a recon run to check out the cp here Seeing as I still cant get pics up I shall get Tanks to do that for me. The dump point is good though.

See you tomorrow Tanks Today we saw 1 big fat bloated black pig, 2 live emu's and one squashed hedgehog. What these mining lots have done to the country side is disgusting. All the infrastructure to run them yet the roads are rs and that is being polite, country towns with scarce supplies of water and yet the mines have wells every couple of k's..just about as bad as the rice fields, cotton sugar, end of rant Going to see whats' on the tv now xx
"tanks" here---Dot, all ready for you and George to arrive.
I have cautioned the neighbors, got the lawnmower out, emptied the washing machine, checked the vacuum cleaner, and I lit the fire for hot water. DYSART IS READY FOR YOU.
Keith.
Well prepared for our Dot Keith well done [emoji38][emoji38]Helen [emoji38][emoji38]
Took Tanks out for tea at the bowls club last night but none of us were happy with the meal so today the oven was fired up and a proper roast was enjoyed tonight Even Russell got some scraps Another pleasant day sitting on the porch of Tanks, watched some telly while Tanks and Russell had their doggie naps , then I started to nod off so back to the bus for a hot chocolate and teeth clean now to bed . I think something is wrong with our ph makes ringing noises but O there ? oh well peace and quiet.
