Announcing the safe arrival of Chris the baby galah.. IT has finally come out into the big wide world and now I know there is another one still in the log.. I went out to do their feed this morning and heard them feeding but there was 2 sitting on the perch, then mum Nora appeared from the log and so wobbly Chris fluttered onto the ground... It's name is Chris because Normans wife Christine was the first to catch a glimpse of the top feathers appearing at the top of the log. Still don't know the sex of Chris yet as I can't see the colour of it's eyes .. G has loaded the trailer up with his bits and pieces of metal and copper and has gone off to cash it in.. Cool and overcast today. Have a good one and behave.

Yes I know the pic quality is terrible but didn't want to frighten the new arrival tooo much.
Chris (the new baby) is on far left, Nora (the mum is at the log enterance feeding another babe) and the dad Norman is on the right. Nora has only one wing, she was originally kept in a small budgie cage , Norman was one that got away, we were called out to a winery to come and get him, he kept getting in the way of the trucks, he sort of chatters away, coughs and laughs.. Now to enlarge the cage then the nesting log comes OUT...
