Yesterday and today cleaning up the 12v in the front boot, then inside to sort through the cupboards and take out what we have not used. Trying to cut down on our weight in the van and rig.

So after spending a fortune getting the cooling system sorted, we booked the bus in to get the seats recovered. While there, I mentioned our issues re towbar etc. The bloke suggested the crew at the beginning of the unit. We also had them look at the tiltatrailer which was losing air over an hour or two. We will get the motorhome back in the morning as they ran out of wire. 3 captains chairs and a 3 seater couch cost 3200 all up, and are better than new. There is extra padding and support.

Trailer has stayed up on the airbags for over 24 hrs
Happy campers we will be. Just the floor to redo now.

Managed to build a start battery out of otherwise dead lithium cells and fitted it to the Hino...... and it worked a treat :? Cleaned the spider webs off, fitted the number plates that had sat in their wrapper for the last 12mths since Brian transferred the rego to SA, Margaret packed food and clothes and installed the double bed mattress from home, the curtains from Mazda that don't quite fit but are at least better than what was there, connected up the fully loaded trailer, packed 22 x 270w solar panels on the bed, and off we went to Crystal Brook.
Only shattered 1 panel on the trip, discovered yet another Brian vehicle needs serious cooling system sorting and the alternator light stays on, it blows black smoke like a railways loco and has that positive steering feel a bit like a houseboat, has serious gaps between the gears... but it does go ok once you get it over about 90km/h.... till it gets hot  Nothing that can't be fixed so it looks like we have added yet another vehicle to the fleet.
