Quick trip to Mt Gambier & back today. (Left last night to travel in the cool evening) Still can't believe the paddocks are 18" high with green grass still.

A roast yes but pureed NO, bloody revolting, also had scrambled eggs pureed, mac cheese pureed, 3 teaspoons and that was enough, cancelled all future pureed crap and sticking to the yoghurt, custard and the special high protein and fibre drinks, in other words I am to stuff myself with all the naughty stuff as the high protein is needed for all of the wounds that need to be healed. The drinks are 1 calorie to 1 ml
A bed bath sounds great but somehow I don't think that will not be happening
I have already given my pussy a pat.
Spoke o the #2 surgeon before I left about any further treatment, he said that the final decision will be by the #1 surgeon and this will be discussed when I have my follow ups. He did say the margins were good so all good huh. Better than we had thought.
Shirley the worst part of the hosp was the bed other than that my stay was good apart from the day I was moved from ICU to my room.
The nurse that was to be my nurse was being given all the details as is done at handovers, G sat in the corner while this was being done. The ICU nurse explained everything in detail but the Agency nurse was looking ummm confused to say the least so I was giving both G and ICU nurse evil scary looks, she cottoned on to what I was ?suggesting ie I was scared shiftless with this new nurse so I grabbed her skirt and said "NO way am I being left in that woman's care" She then went out of the room and then the agency nurse looked at me and asked " where does that go? ( ie Feeding tube) That did it, luckily the ICU nurse had seen what I was so scared of and went and got me 2 other nurses. Turns out this agency nurse spoke little Oz, she had no idea what I was babbling and I had no idea what she was saying she was a registered nurse but not accredited for drug giving to anyone Q how do these people get past the pros that let them out on the public. She will NOT be re employed by the hosp from that. If I had said O then she could have killed me and that is no over reaction. So I flourished with the correct care Now it is a daily dressing thing for my trachy hole, I could of done this one myself but the arm won't bend enough to reach so have to go to the local wound care lady, the arm dressing is every 2 days by the district nurse, the leg graft dressing was changed today but it isn't healed enough so another cover applied. I asked the #2 surg about the throat, did you glue the wound? Yep , (no wonder the neck is feeling so tight..) Time for some more food.
