Work on the van has to stop for a while and so close to be finished. Had a lot of upholstery work come in that I really did not want but did not say no to. At least it will help the bank account a bit and once I clean all the caravan bits off of the sewing bench a couple of the jobs could be interesting to do.
Fired up the diesel hot water system today and was very relieved it all worked perfectly. T1 must have twitched all the right wires together.
Cheers John

Bruce is giving our poor neglected van a well deserved thorough wash- she is back to original shine with only one side to go then a good polish. Unfortunalely I have not been able to help.
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

Made up a drawer to replace the cupboard under the seat. Fitted the nice new metal drawer runners only to find that because it sits close to the floor I cannot tilt the drawer down to slide it in the runners. Have to come up with a plan B now and it's getting to hot again to think clearly.

Reversed it out the gateway (I have 100mm clearance either side) at 6am, before the traffic builds up, and parked it along the road ready to take it for rego inspection tomorrow morning .

Maybe modify the runners so you don't need to tilt the draw to engage the runners? Or use runners that engage without the need for tilting and have an inbuilt over extension limiting system. The type that use small ball bearing between the runners come to mind, they have a latching device that limits the total extension and are available up to 125% extension so all the draw space is accessible when fully opened.Riverlander wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2018 10:24 am Made up a drawer to replace the cupboard under the seat. Rego check passed, left front indicator had a bad connection, rear shock absorber mounting bolt slightly loose.

No Bernie, and even if we did it would still have to be taken out onto the road for a brake test. Maybe Qlders don't bother with brakes.
