If I was repeating my panel installation I would certainly use beams spanning from side to side as T1 has conveyed... and I've got a conventional roofed van. The benefits include mounting integrity without penetrations and ease of serviceability. You might find it'd even be an easier installation... once the blinkers of tradition and convention are off.
Cheers, Steve
Thanks Steve, I'm all ears at the mo... no leaves and crap that way I imagine...

Who is "your man" doing your job Vik? if he is hesitant on him drilling the holes then why don't you do the drilling and sign a waiver on any future probs caused by the drilling of holes? Our experience of the winnie structures are a big "shall I or shall I not take the gamble?"

Got any pics of the bubbles Vik? Why do you think you have to do something about it. They won't cause the epdm roof to fail.
I'll give the roof a squirt and try again for a better shot,Terry just wants it sorted and so do I, my money didnt have any bubbles in it to leave gaps and they would soon let me know about it ,so just another thing on the list to go back...

The bubbles can simply be caused by the contact not being allowed enough time to go off before the two surfaces were brought together. Sure have someone look at it but you will probably find that is all it is and it won't affect the EPDM longevity.

So I must have missed something. Have you bought another Esperance? Those bubbles look like they follow a join in the underlying ply. Maybe they have been caused by movement in the ply. Certainly go and have it inspected. The odd bubble in my 16 year old roof does not follow a uniform pattern like that. But I would not pop them. Leave the epdm intact.
Don't pop them bubbles Vik, get them seen to by the seller and all documented for your own protection they will always find a loophole when it comes to warranty of any description. Oh so "your man" is Terry hey? but he is my "Toy boy"
