I obtained a quote for the water damage repairs which I forwarded to Ken Tame's assessor and received the following reply:
"Hi George
I need a quote with labour and parts separate."
I obtained an amended quote which showed Labour and Parts separately, following which I have received the following from the assessor:
"Hi George
We require an itemised quotation which separates parts and labour. It must provide a break up of the labour content, showing the number of hours for each operation and then a detailed parts listing which shows each individual parts and the cost of each part."

The poor repairer has more to do than fill out itemized quotes for all his work. Surly Ken Tame can either accept the quote or if they think it is too much they could send someone they trust to inspect the damage. I was thinking of using Ken Tame for my van but as I had no problems in getting my van fixed from some roo damage with my present Ins.Co. I might stay where I am.
Cheers John

My repairer charges $125 hr and is happy to spend 5 hrs writing this quote for you if you pay them in advance.
Let's face it, once Ken Tames became an employee of the insurance company it was only a matter of time till the usual insurance company nonsense started, this is a good example.
A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
"tanks" here George---
When I wiped the rooftop aircon off the roof of the Iveco I made a claim on KenTame who sent this to the insurance company assessor. The ASSESSOR then wanted/DEMANDED A contribution FROM ME towARDS THE NEW UNIT.
I phoned the claims manager at KenTame and the owner contribution part was corrected within 30 minutes and the 'go-ahead with replacement was approved within another 30 minutes. The insurance company assessor was wrong in making this demand.
It is the insurance company assessor you have to by-pass, and go to the claims manager at Ken Tame with the problem to get results.
It's worth a try mate-- just a phone call and forget the insurance company assessor.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Ken Tame Insurance have agreed to pay me the full quoted price of repairs, minus excess of $200, with those repairs to be completed at my leisure. This result was achieved after some complaining on my part.Newcastle George wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2018 10:23 am I obtained a quote for the water damage repairs which I forwarded to Ken Tame's assessor and received the following reply:
