Well the river ramble is over and now back to reality. Got home around 8pm I think sat down and went to sleep. When I woke up G told me our yard dwellers were in residence but I shall catch them tomorrow. Welcome home Dot. Hope Brian settles back into routine easily.

No mud pies today, just chopping up little bits of glass to make bigger bits of glass. mainly for earings and pendants, bread and butter stuff.
I am still knackered Dot, so another early night.

Goodnight everyone x Doggie sat today and Brian did his usual stare to the poor wee doggie reminding her that he is "the boss" Trying to get some moisture back into the lawn after nearly 2 weeks away. All the plumbs have gone but the apples are about ready to be picked. Time to get some sleep so goodnight Supersparkie & Bandit x

Dot, once you stew the apples, put a slice of frozen puff pastry in the sandwich toaster, top with apple, cinnamon and another bit of puff pastry. Cook it . Instant strudels! Happy apple picking mate. xxx

We built a couple of shelves for me, finally. I did the one on my desk easily. I discovered a piece of wood exactly the right size, that had been an off cut from son's kitchen. So it even had nice white coating all over too. Once I had done the study, HMV came down to the studio with a bit of wood to do the shelf that had been requested ages ago. Funny, he thought a shelf 8inches wide would be ok. After a trip to the hammer shop, I now have a shelf almost double that in width, and it looks good. So some good things come to those who wait and wait.
Fired up the kiln today, will see what happens tomorrow , once it's cool enough to touch.

Kiln was not so kind yesterday. Another of my masterpieces has destroyed itself. Luckily, I had a visit from another glass artist today and we worked out the whys, so it wont happen again. For a simple little desk business card holder, this is an epic learning curve. Back to cleaning kiln shelves tomorrow.
More different stuff to experiment with and also needing to make some proper jewellery stuff for the upcoming weekend sales. I am too busy playing with new stuff and don't seem to get down to the real important money making stuff.
