SWomewhere to go....Vic High Country over Easter ?

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

SWomewhere to go....Vic High Country over Easter ?

Post by Lance »

We haven't been able to find a smallish music festival to gatecrash for the Easter weekend so Annee mentioned a drive through the Vic High Country.
Heading out from Melb eastern side and on upwards....... :)

How crowded is it going to be up there ?
I'm not looking for anything in particular, just a few days away with the dog.......and Annee...... ;-)
Bush camping all the way in the HiAce camper.

Thoughts ?

chockers.

just drive until you find an empty spot and grab it.

how far are you prepared to drive?

if you leave on Thursday, you'll find probably find a spot quite easily, but then it fills up. Especially when a group have already decided to go to the same spot.

From Melb head towards WoodsPoint, via Yea and Jamieson on Thursday morning - early!

If your lucky you'll find a nice place along the Goulburn River , but then you might like to get to WoodsPoint, nice camp ground just before the town ( ? ) .
But W.P itself fills up quickly as a lot of trails etc have been opened up and cleared for the weekend warriors in their 4WD's.
During the week you could fire a cannon down the main street , but on the weekend you'd kill quite a few.

There's a nice spot out near White City ( ask at the pub where that is ) that is usually the last spot to fill up.

You and Annee aren't going to Stone The Crows this year?

No mate, neither of us can get enough time off work to make the trip.
We only have the main days this year. :(
All being well, next year will be different, very different :) ;)

We'll just meander along a bit closer to home and stop where we find a spot.

Lance,
Would you please put up the correct dates for Boolarra.
I'm at Lang Lang but must be in Cranbourne on the 21/2.
