Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Two little typos and you get narky
GIve the Gman my love.
The bowl from yesterday's firing , looks great but is a little bit wonky underneath. For some reason the bottom is still very rounded, so it won't sit nicely on a table. Next week, I will give it another blast in the kiln, but have made the hole for the bowl to drop down into, a little bit larger. If all else fails, I will make it a pair of legs to keep it stable on the table.
Today was another over 40degrees day, until just now when a lovely Southerly has blown up and the temp is dropping very nicely. We spent the day packing the van for an early-ish escape in the morning. We are off to jimmy's Beach (sort of Port Stephens area) with our jayco mob. I need a holiday about now too.
so goodnight all and have a happy weekend folks xxx

Dot, you are up late xxx
We packed the fridge in the van and left home...great feeling. We arrived in time to make some lunch and set up easily. Then happy hour, dinner and now relaxing in van. For some reason, I am so tired, so I am off to a very early night
goodnight all xxx

Goodnight Dot
Today was a relaxing day, slept in, did some shopping, had lunch followed by a long happy hour then we went to the local golf club for a yummo dinner. All this partying has made me want an early night.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Looks like I beat you again Dot.
Today we had a huge goanna run across our disc bowls pitch, just as a man had thrown a disc. It did miss the critter, just. This was followed by a red bellied black wriggly stick, that ran across the edge of our group. After happy hour, we shared the leftover cabanossi with several friendly kookaburras and then had a dingo skulk past us. So it has been a very busy day out in the wilds.
Time to get some shut eye,
so good night one and all xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I missed last night due to knackeredness
Geez Deborah what a place to go, Goanna I can cope with, def the Kookaburras and absolutely the dingo BUT not that red bellied black wriggly stick
Today was a lovely day we had a BBQ with our 4 yard dwellers and another couple that popped by and our friend Flo and her dog Rosie. Rosie & Rusti did some doggie entertaining for us and Rusti gave a demo of soccer.
Makes you want to hit the road again. Anyway it is now time to say goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Right there Dot. We will return to this park again. The wildlife have been a great drawcard. Today it was just the goanna and kookaburras, but enough for us to have a few laughs at the fat kookas chasing a few Pommy visitors for their leftover foods.
As there are quite a few of us who choose not to return to reality until Monday, we decided to head off to the pub for lunch. A bowl of grass with a few crumbs of smoked salmon was $22 and I felt robbed. We then went down the road to an icecream parlour and had some goodness that helped to stop the hunger. We returned to the caravan park and had a very long happy hour. Very relaxing. Next I cooked up a dozen oysters "killed Patrick" for us to share for dinner and we needed nothing more.
Now it's time for some shut eye again. I suspect that this hot weather is really taking it's toll on us all.
So it's good night from me xxx
