My NBN is fixed wireless, you can get that where you are and mate communications is the one to look at.

We’re only 50km from Albury, but not scheduled to be connected to NBN until 2020... the supposed final year of rollout!
Telstra signal strength in Rutherglen is woeful. 1~2 bars of 3G is my common indication. Rarely do I see 4G, and it’s only 1bar.
Complained of that and data theft. They said I was streaming videos... with 1bar of 3G?
Finally tired of beating my head against a brick wall & took it to the TIO. THEN Telstra sat up and took notice!
Wifi dongle replaced... no more data loss/theft.
Waiting for my FREE Intelligent Antenna with outside aerial (normally $1800!) to be delivered & installed. ;)
Squeaky wheel...
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Telstra most certainly only act of the squeaky wheel/ombudsman recording a bad mark against them, they will lie through their teeth up to that point but once crossed it goes to a separate dept that sorts the issues and tries to settle the dust.
I know of one case where the customer kept hammering them in regards to drop outs and lock outs in a certain area because in his belief the tower was over subscribe. Once the ombudsman became involved the whole tune changed with virtually free mobile/data/landline to get around a problem they simply couldn't fix.

Think there is fixed wireless in the Rutherglen area, you can check if you are covered at the link below. NBN is rolling out lots of fixed wireless, where they were once going to be cable. Our area was going to be fibre, then one day there was a small comment in the local paper, saying council had connected to nbn fixed wireless. Checked our address and was connected within the week, so much faster than satellite, which had for years.

Their costs have blown out so much and fibre to the node is causing huge problems. The government won't let them do fibre to the home, so they are turning to fixed wireless.

Be careful what you wish for Shirley, the system being rolled out now is nothing like the system we were promised or paid for, it is the worst of both worlds rather than the best system available .... unless you plan to pay for fibre to the premises, then you will get what was originally promised, but you'll have to pay for it twice now
If/when the NBN reaches upper Mannum I think we will be forced to pay the big $$ for the proper system. We have wireless NBN at home and it is woeful, maybe if we get the fibre to the premises here at the workshop we can wireless beam it to the house, or even a copper line from here to the house on the old system would be better than the service we have there at the moment

However the system we were promised was quite clearly under-quoted... and significantly at that. Whilst I am very disappointed with what is being implemented around the the place, it would have been a shit-show under either banner.
