Bernie, you should have just done the MH by itself and taken the car on separately, cars are about $85, Motorhomes you pay by the meter. I would ring them and see if you can amend the booking as two separate units, ours was about the same hitched length but separated it was about $650 with a cabin

Bugger, you might have to pick a Swedish backpacker, one with a licence. I’ll leave her other attributes to your imagination :D

Morning all , we are now camped on the Ovens river about 5 or so Ks from Bundalong , at the moment we are the only ones within cooee of us there are others a k or so further around .
I think there is fire restrictions so cooked the chops on the portable cooker . Instead of the "choofer"
Other pic is the BOSS relaxing . We may stay here a week or two ? There was light rain around 2.30am this day and rain is predicted for Saturday time will tell . Too many trees around so cant get sat TV bugga .

No fishing Bernie?

should eb able to get a few big ugly carp there

Fire restictins should be ok.

Just clear a ground about 3meters around the choofer.

This is from the CFA govt website.

Fire Danger Period
Can I have a barbecue, light a campfire or light a fire for warmth or comfort?

No unless:

the wind is not more than 10km/h (this can be observed if leaves and small twigs are in constant motion)
the fire is lit in a properly-constructed fireplace or in a trench at least 30 centimetres deep
the area within a distance of 3 metres from the outer perimeters of the fire and the uppermost point of the fire is clear of flammable material
the fire does not occupy an area in excess of 1 square metre and the size and dimensions of solid fuel used are the minimum necessary for the purpose
A person is in attendance at all times while the fire is alight and has the capacity and means to extinguish the fire the fire is completely extinguished before the person leaves

Note that in accordance with the CFA Act, a "properly constructed fireplace" means a fireplace that is constructed of stone, metal, concrete or any other non-flammable material so as to contain the perimeter of the fire. A commercially produced barbecue would be considered a properly constructed fireplace.

We got 5 years warranty on our Reece aircons, so not that uncommon ?
Have heard of multiple failures of compressors when using split systems when driving, but maybe on corrugated roads ? Like one guy who had a daikin fitted went through 4 compressor units in 2 years. (Used to be BigRigs pres)
Vanishing Point, almost ready to vanish
