Hi everyone we are now camped at Tungamah . all up two motorhomes and three caravans . I think all but ourselves and one caravan they will be off today just overnight stays .
We had a visit from a lady who is on the committee for the park , she was excited to tell us that finally they have the ok from the water authorities and the council to have a dump point installed , They have been in touch with the CMCA regarding same and they are on board with delivery .
So big things maybe happening here , also talking about powered sites some time further down the line .

A couple ( I love calling others old ) parked up a bit from me in a 60's Millard caravan , first time its been on the road in yonks they were having trouble putting their annex up its one on those one piece roof and three sides all in one . Now it would have been a challenge 40 years ago but being in their late 70's almost impossible , but with three of us pushing and grunting we finally succeeded , They are the other who I said will stay more then overnight you wouldn't go through that for one night .....I think..There was another story about this gentleman and a tree but wont go into that ...

Morning all , Well we finally arrived in Tasmania...what a bloody effort . On the way to the ship so we could arrive just in time I received a sms from SOT saying the boat was late arriving so the "new" boarding time was put forward one hour . So parked up a cuppla ks from the ship .
Said time came so off we went again , all good ( or so I thought ) nah we got as far as the line down to the ticket thingy and all went astray .
We where held there for two bloody hours....no sms to tell what the problem was...Any way we finally got to our cabin by 11pm had a shower and went to bed . The ship left the dock at midnight .At least we could feed ourselves in the bus those in cars starved (before we went upstairs)
NP you were wrong they were loading cars first this time same this end one deck of cars off first .
So here we are for our first day in the magic state of Tasmania . the first view from our first free camp we will be here for a cuppla days .
The ship rocked and rolled a bit but the last crossing we done was worst , and we don't suffer from sea sickness .
Bernie .
Ps: just got a email from SOT asking for feed back....I might wait till the memory fades !!!!

Hi again , Just for those that don't read the good morning thread , I found a crack/split in the fuel line from the lift pump to the fuel filter .
It happened some where between our stay ay Donnybrook and here in Ulverstone Tas , I removed the pipe and went to town looking for some one who could assist plus it was a dual job I also needed to find the dump point in Ulverstone . Long story short I stumbled onto a engine recon shop .
They mostly do large engines like in bulldozer and such . Andrew the owner came to find out what was wrong and after a few phone calls he could not find a replacement pipe , so he then said follow him and off we went to the oxy torch and he bronzed the pipe up for me and for FREE .
The other thing happening in Tassie if you don't already know is the CP lobby stopping council camp spots . We had two visits from council yesterday first they were issuing leaflets telling one how long you can park here (two days) the other a council ute came thru after lunch and wrote down rego numbers ...There were only two of us parked here .
We also went and had lunch at Penguin , today we will be off to another spot up the road a bit .
Just remembered Because of only 48 hour camp I don't bother with the sat/tv we just go without , herself said to try and fix the normal tv (her words) So after pulling and pushing and swearing I tried every thing to get the bugger to work , in the end I bypassed the booster thingy now running straight from the antenna to the tv set and bingo it worked...that bloody booster thingy is no good , I will have to buy a new one along the road somewhere .
Bernie .
Thanks Dave .
