Macerator toilets

We bought a macerator toilet for big bus. I didn't like the idea of having to pull the pump out inside the bus when it got something stuck in it so I made and extension pipe that went from the base of the bowl down through the floor and mounted the pump under the floor. The trick to stop the noise is cutting the rubber blades off the pump and using a water valve to control the water feed into the bowl rather than the pump pushing as much through as it can deliver for as long as the macerator part is activated.
Our bowl is a full ceramic and looks just like a household toilet bowl, often wondered if it was possible to cut a hole through the base of the bowl and block off the S bend and just use a standard household bowl and add the macerator under the floor. We also have a Tecma toilet. Had one in a boat once and it was the best marine toilet I have ever seen and I spent 35 years working on boats so I’ve seen a few

Ours in the Motorhome is the same as the unit I had in the boat, works really well, no smells, soft touch electric buttons for prefill and another for flushing. I’d say it uses a bit more water than the one we had in the previous MH, but well worth it

I have a Sealand 510 marine toilet with a macerator under the floor, I also have another macerator to pump out of the holding tanks.
Uses very little water, but very noisy
