That would require a slight change to the rules because the trainers aren't considered to be one of the players and Alfie Langer was one of the Qld trainers  The mateship in NRL is really something that doesn't come across when you are watching the game, in State of Origin some of the players in opposing teams actually play side by side in club games and many of them have strong friendships outside the game.
They all shake hands and congratulate each other after full time and that is one of the things that make the NRL and State of Origin such a great spectacle to watch. Even though some call it a bunch of thugs beating each other up, they are top athletes and playing a top level sports game that very few other sports athletes would survive the first 15 mins, yet they are still hitting just as hard and running as fast at the end of 80 mins of full on action.

T1, You just nailed it! It doesn't matter where you come from, you have to give credit to how hard those guys go in. And keep going in.
There was a piece on the news tonight about how Cooper Cronk, now at the Roosters I think, Is about to line up against the Storm, his old club, and he said something like 'they will hit me and grind me into the dirt, and I will get up. And they will do it again, and I will get up again.'
You can only admire the resolve of those blokes.

But I still love Aussie Rules!
Cheers

Do you mean the World Cup? That's Foolball or Dramatic Collapse Ball but also known as Drama Ball. This is where a touch on the shoulder can make you collapse far more dramatically than the Spock nerve pinch and a trip over the sideline makes you tumble more times than an Olympic gymnast routine. About the only tough player is the goalie because he does get pounded some times.
Comparing Rugby League to anything other than Rugby Union is an insult to Rugby players. If a sore leg or knee puts a field ballet player out for half a session what would happen if they got tackled like a Rugby player and only had a limited interchange rule :o  ;) Even the American Grid Iron players took one look and decided it was not for them because you couldn't wear padding and a helmet and the same players were used for attack and defence without a stoppage every time they made a move

Just had one of those emails appear on the screen from "Windows" saying to call their tec so they can fix the problem before the computer is locked down within 5 mins Hmmmmm I couldn't get rid of it so G rang the toll free # 1800-952- 172 where G explained the situation re the notice, as soon as this guy mentioned handing over for him fo fix this G told him "thank you very much but we shall ask our IT friend if this is a scan and if not we shall call you back Goodbye"" Turned off comp for a while then G took the battery out and bingo it had gone.. Might give Indo boy a call back to saw thanks for fixing my computer. Bastards.

Last two weeks we have had phone calls from Chinese Embassy starts with English speaking then babbling on in Chinese on both our mobiles & home phone, thought it seemed like a scam then the news reported same as a scam, apparently Chinese people who can understand are being told to pay so much or loose their visa or something anyway student paid $$$s thinking it was the real deal.
We weekly get the Telstra here crap & the solar panel roof installation also get several where the person just hangs up.

Any unsolicited calls now get my dads old sailors whistle unleashed upon them, sick of the lot of them so now they may get the message. But on the computer was a different one for sure.

I love the ones that ring to offer a better power price deal, I ask how much they are going to pay us because we are off grid  The polite ones say sorry for bothering you etc, the rude ones just hang up, but it certainly reduces the call back frequency.
Because all our phones are mobile now they can't link to an address through data mining, but the other benefit is after the first attempt catches you the number can be added to a list called advertising so the next time the unknown number is identified, then I answer it and put it in my pocket leaving them talking to no one or registering as a connection for future attempts by the robot callers ... you know, those ones that there is often no one there and it hangs up after about 30secs, the system rings multiple contacts and the sales person takes the first one to answer.
