We have run 2 lines to the roof on VP, one grey, one black, right at the rear and the shape of the PVC at the end ensures a negative pressure behind them (100mm pipe)
Each one has an 80mm fan in it which we run when stopped, never hear them but if you are on the roof with them running you can small the gas.
265 ltrs black but can also hook the grey in if parked up for a real long time where grey can be dropped on the ground. Seems to work pretty well. After trying lots of different things have eventually settled on Biomagic.

Re: SOG... Whats the verdict...???
Hi & welcome to the forum Lynne & Ken.
I've been considering the SOG on my houseboat because each time we empty out we get stunk out pretty badly.
On houseboats we use a big vacuum system to pump out (suck out?) and it actually empties all the "S" bends of liquid.
We must remember to rush around & flush all toilets, put water down sinks & hand basins & pray..............
Unfortunately it appears there is no "S" bend on the 4 showers...... we put little squares of rubber or vinyl over the outlets.

I use a computer fan which sits in the window of the toilet, does a good job of removing any smells and cheap to run..

SOG systems don't stop the waste from smelling. They help prevent the smell entering the RV when you flush.
Bruce, if you system smells that badly I would carry out a clean and flush. I would use bi carb and vinegar and let it sit in the tank for as long as you can. A couple of days at least. If you are using cheap nappy san then stop. It is difficult to get the correct ratio as there are a few variables. Ambient temperature being the worst. I have found the Biomagic heavy duty product to work the best, especially in a black tank.

Having said that, what Craig said, you could use a SOG to constantly evacuate the tank of the foul air - the replacement air would flow down through the shower drain preventing ingress to the HB. You could attach a tube to the SOG outlet and direct the exhaust onto your neighbour if ever he offends you.

haha I'll tell Brian as "the neighbour from Hell" has taken up residence in the berth next to him!
Water is too cold for me to investigate till summer but I must fix it somehow!
I'm suspicious that the vent pipe has liquid in it creating a 'lock'.
