One spot we really enjoyed on our very first trip was Jericho at the old racecourse. Safe travels :D BTW how are you finding your new set up?
I think that is the show ground now Dot $50 a week power and water.
We just had a forgetful experience with a cp in Ilfracombe told $14 a night no power no water charged $32 for the night so only stayed one night might be a while before we try another.
The new set up is going good Dot.

Great new free overnighter at Leitchville, Vic!
Room for 3 big rigs with NO need to reverse... three drive-through sites separated by hedges. You just pull up in the middle of a U-turn. Wide enough to put out your awning.
Self-contained only: NO water, power or dump point. Short walk around the corner to toilets.
Top end of township is across the road.
WikiCamps says ‘no dogs’, but there abre no signs on site. No-one complained when we took our two for walkies down town... although a few resident hounds had something to say. We just crossed the road to avoid problems. 😉

Leitchville has been open for a coupla years Ray.
I spotted it on the way home from a UWE at Kerang but didn't have the time for an overnighter.
Drove through the area and noted it for future use. ;)

Have stayed at Leitchville many times, even before they put in the rest area, we used to park near the pub until then. Our dogs spend their time laying beside the road and no one has ever said anything to us, think it may have to do with how they behave.

There are many place like Leitchville, but few use them as they are off the touro track, so most of the time they are empty and we always get a nice welcome when we arrive in a small town. They offer much more than the big places everyone swarms to, quiet, peaceful, very little traffic and of course lovely people.

We were only told about it recently... arrived in Leitchville on the Sunday evening before the long w/e.
Next day, on walkies, you could have fired a cannon in the main drag and no-one would have noticed.
(Well, maybe a few dogs.)
The only shop open was a take-away! And they closed for lunch!!

We will be going back to the area. Passed through lots of RVF towns which we'd like to explore further. We were on a tight schedule to return home for some important events.
