Daytime temp today is 30.2c on the verandah.
It went down to 14c in the house last night.

Thanks for the invite Tanks, but I have a hubby travelling with me and he isn't too keen on forum friends etc. So we will stay in the van park just the same. I will munch on a weiss bar and think kind thoughts of you though!

Bob r we are at the big one....cabin and caravan village in Opal st. The showgrounds was our preferred place but as usual they have a " showgrounds full" sign out.

We did not expect to arrive in Emerald today, but with a head wind, improved roads and the passenger (moi) being happy to continue up the road, we made it a day early. So tomorrow, after a very long sleep in, we will head off for the local op shops. I need more reading matter, so we will be happy to stay put until Tuesday. Then it's off to get ready for gemfest at Anakie... the highlight of our trading year.

Today was a big sleep in for us too. Then we had a nice pub lunch, so no need for anyone to cook dinner tonight. I ate a pear and some yoghurt and still feel full.
We paid a dear friend a visit, but she made me feel like a bit of an antiquity. She has an amazing antique shop with so much stock that was around when I was a kid. I really felt like she was selling my childhood home and to make it feel worse, she told me that most of the crockery that she sells for huge prices are from the fifties! Should a kept the old dinner service hey?

We found 3 op shops to get a few books, so now I have a very small library to keep me amused at nights, so all is well.

Friend of ours up here has just had her face mask made - brain tumours.When finished with she os going to use it for flower plants!
