Re: Qld rego.
For his size vehicle they'll just check the engine number matches the paperwork, stamp it & it's done!
No blue, green, red or pink slips at all.
He can even get the renewal sent to NZ if he wants.
The question that is MOST important is Address where the vehicle is usually parked ... postal address of the person has nothing to do with it.

Norman
When I changed the Coaster from a bus to a motorhome (in QLD) I needed to present myself, the bus, proof of ownership / rego papers and a vehicle assessors certificate for which I needed to have fitted a bed, a sink and a stove and of course most of the seats removed. The staff of the Transport Office then had to personally check/confirm the cert plate, rego, engine# and the vin#.
To make it worse they were not allowed to check these details in the street outside their offices but only in their inspection bay (under the building) which has video surveillance. The Coaster is 2.95m high with the roof rack on and so it wouldn't get into their bay which is another story.

No way, Norman. It hasn't rained much in the last week. Days have been beautiful, which makes the flood devastation all the more unbelievable.
