Must say though... most impressed wiff the job in hand that the boy did...!!!

Cant see any wires in the humpy, all hidden in nooks and crannies, the box of discusting spagetti wires from Avoida have been chucked and replaced in an order that would make the Post Master General happy... :D :P

All the gauges and stuff all in the same spot as stock one, thought they were gunna be in a cupboard for a minute there... , but nuh... :P

And Margret put the phone app tingo in me phone, I am havin great fun pluggin in the 240 for the 3 way fridge, lettin it run , then pullin the plug and seein what the solar side does, all from the comfort of the the house I’m rentin...

Must say, my little faux pas the other day tryin this in the wheeled humpy...

I pulled the 240 out of her, BEEEEEEP... :o

Run inside...??? WTF...??? Press this ,press that... BEEEEEEEP...!!!

Then dickhead remembers you have to limit how much juice ya use at the same time ....FFS...!!! I had the fridge on and the water heater on 70 dec mode at the same time, and lights, the new flash fanmaxx etc...

Turned off the water heater and all good.

Still lotsa learn but seems pretty goof proof

Vik, That post sort of reminded me of the time my FIL tripped out the RCD on the house incoming power. The second time I actually caught him with the knife in the toaster. It's all just a learning experience. And you are lucky enough that the bloke that has done all your work is a bit of a guru on this stuff. And a little bit sort of respected in the industry. If you can't work it out then ask a question. I reckon that it can all be sorted in cyberspace, that's IF there is a problem!
Cheers

More Avida magic. The 3 way fridge is auto select but the priority is 240vac, with the Projecta inverter running 24/7 no real issues were noted. Tried the fridge with the 240vac power point turned off, flashing battery light. First thought, the wiring is under size, not even close, there is actually no 12v on the heavy wire that powers the element, the lights and control have a separate 12v supply. This means just because the light is on doesn't mean the serious 12v supply is working. Check the fuse box end, there is battery voltage there, trace the wiring harness back from the fridge back panel, disappears through the fridge enclosure floor, remove the fire extinguisher holder to look inside, wiring disappears through the wall to the slide out pantry. There is no access to the floor of the enclosure the slide out pantry lives in  Avida can sort that problem

Turn the fridge back onto 240vac and turn the air con on to 21*C and leave the door open. Cycles regularly so that isn't what is causing the inverter over load :? Roughly 2 1/2hrs later with the air con and fridge still running on the battery/inverter an alarm goes off. Turn the fridge power point off, no not that, pull the lounge seats out and sure enough, the hot water is still turned on at the power point. Turn that off and everything is fine again. There is a 3 position switch for the hot water close to the sink, up for 50*C, down for 70*C and the centre position is marked 0. One would assume that means off, it doesn't actually appear that it is an off position at all. The only way to turn the hot water off is to lift the lounge seats out to access the power point and switch it off there  Looks like a sparkie job to install a separate switch that is easily accessible to turn the hot water on/off.

T1,
That would be luxury!
To turn on/off the 240v HWS in Girt (vintage: 2003) we have to go outside, drop the HWS cover and reach between (sometimes hot) tubing to reach the switch.

Ya gotta wonder about who designs this stuff. We even thought we'd give the Irish Electrician theory a try, the fridge powered by the house battery but only on when the engine was running, but still nothing. At least we have sorted the screaming inverter problem so the fridge can run full time from the inverter on 240vac. Vic is going away in it this week end so we will see just how much it uses overnight.
The battery charger issue is sorted, despite the specs saying that when set to Gel mode the float was 13.5v, it doesn't actually go into float, so holds 14.1v to 14.6v depending on how it feels at the time. The fix was to fit a "Finder" 12v powered 240vac switch into the circuit and control that with the T1 Lithium BMS system so the power supply to the charger is cut if a cell goes high voltage for any reason.
Fitted an Anderson plug and cable that rolls up inside the battery box and a heavier gauge cable and Anderson plug to his portable compressor so it now actually reaches the tyres on the drivers side and runs fast enough to pump them up
