Would you believe after 2 days just leaving it powered up but not actually controlling anything, it has come good and now seems to be working as designed, so all is not lost. It is so hot out here the air con is a life saver. Margaret and I take turns driving while the other one lays on the bed in the cool and reads/sleeps, then we swap again and continue on. We have used the air fryer just about every night to cook dinner, only used the gas can stove for the steaks cause they need that hot sizzle in the griddle pan. The coffee pod machine cops an absolute thrashing, roadhouse coffee is dreadful after you have enjoyed good coffee. The battered old fridge is still keeping the icecream rock solid, but the kiddie lock strap things have given up the ghost and spread the fridge contents across the floor a few times now. Hopefully we can get replacements in Norseman while we are here. We only turn the 240v electric hot water on for a few hrs during the day, it gets too hot to stand under if we leave it on any longer. Seems a shame to waste the solar but there isn't anything much else we can use it on.

T1,

1. SWMBO thoroughly agrees! (As I never drink coffee, I can't comment.)

2. If there are tether-points, perhaps an occy-strap might be a good temporary fix???

Just a thort...
Regards & God bless,

"Never drink coffee" well that explains a lot  The attaching bit for the kiddie rubber strap thing also came adrift so a replacement would be the first choice, trying to glue it back on and making some other strap would be the second option. Jamming the assorted toolbox plastic containers in a way that stops the door coming open is the other option and the one in use at the moment. Makes opening the fridge that bit more aggravating and travelling up the hallway a tad tricky, but as a last resort for the next few days travelling home I guess we could live with the hassles.
The fuel filter appears to be near impossible to remove at the moment, super tight and needs the victim to lie under the muffler with body parts pressed against it and the arms extended through a spot a cat would think twice about. I do have the required tool at home, the local repairer wants me to drive up there so they can charge $120hr to remove the filter and see if they have a suitable replacement. The issue is there is no guarantee it is a filter problem and once the tool crushes the filter it can not be reused, so if they don't have a replacement it would be Monday or Tuesday before one gets here from Perth.
I'm considering the long slow drive on to the next spot and see how we go, if it doesn't get worse I guess it will be a rather slow trip home, but still faster than hanging around a workshop until Tuesday before we know if it fixed the problem.

Norseman IS the last stop before Ceduna .... of for anything decent including decent water.
Think twice about leaving there unless you are sure you want a slow trip potentially...........
Big decision....
Pity Webb Tspt doesn't have a drop deck with ramps!!
