Many years ago on New Year's Eve at the Entrance, NSW when the old wooden bridge was still used, every year the young folk would gather to celebrate & inevitably towards midnight the chant would start, " burn the bridge" it was always a fun night, one year a group of you fellows lifted my brother in law's Fiat 1500 into the front yard of a house with a brick fence & no driveway, it was only the fact that he laughed along with them that after sometime they decided to lift it out again.
