If you have 2 mobile smart phones on the same plan or even different plans with different carriers, you can still use the phones as the mobile hotspot to broadcast to the Chrome Cast via the WiFi on the other phone. Sounds crazy but it does work, we have been doing that for over 12mths now and never get close to using all our data allowance. We ditched all the other Telco services and use our phones for everything.
