Big worldwide trip "bon voyage!)

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

D) all of the above plus a few bits on mungrel breed thrown in as well.

Ajaccio Corsica October 13

Oh no, not another poor impoverished European village!

I would have settled for this (AJS I think) for our transportation, but alas...

...no, this is what we got. :(

To say Ajaccio is big on Napoleon would be fair,...

...but to be accurate, you need superlatives like HUGHMONGUS.

The dates are in dispute.

Ajaccio Corsica October 13

I've heard this pronounced "Ah Jack keyo" phonetically.

Napoleon's dad was offered a military school enrollment for one of his children which had a starting age caveat of under 10 years of age. There is dispute as to when and where he was born. I got this off Wikipedia;

"... the emperor is known to have altered the civic records at Ajaccio concerning himself and it is possible that he was born in Corte in 1768 when his father was there on business. " and "....Corte was the birthplace of Joseph Bonaparte (1768–1844), the eldest brother of the French Emperor Napoleon I, who made him King of Naples (1806–1808) and Spain (1808–1813)."

It appears to me that Corsica is geographically closer to Italy than France and Italian is spoken in Ajaccio except for at least one bloke that we spoke with, so who knows really when and where he was born, except it seems to be good for tourism.
Maison - French, Bonaparte - Italian???

Seems the Irish found Corsica....
