Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Also in Dublin, we saw the Trinity College, Molly Malone and discovered why windows were progressively smaller as buildings became taller. Seems that in the past, there was a glass tax and to cut cost in building and reduce tax, windows were reduced in size. Maybe that's were the tax window (aka loophole) was born. We also saw where Guinness was made, but three photos are the limit and I don't particularly like brown beer anyway.

Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.
A visit to the famous Kilmainham goal where no one was excluded; men women and children as young as five were incarcerated. Note the triangular bar on the mug shot seat designed to centre the subject.
The graffiti on the arch was written by a woman prisoner which we were told was a line from a famous poet; "Beware of the risen people that have harried and held, ye that have bullied and bribed".
Inside the inmates quarters of the newer section required fewer personnel for management and greatly improved and more humane quarters from the ones we'd seen in the older section. It is said that the new goal was used for a few which help pay for the restoration work done entirely by volunteer workers.

There was an execution yard within the goal. A cross marks the spot where soldiers fired upon those condemned and is also marked by a cross. These executions were taking place fairly recently and performed on political prisoners who campaigned for Ireland's independence.

Bodean's in London serves up a mean batch of barbque ribs on a plate for two at 24GBP. More than we could eat. We blindly ordered Spitfire beer at 4.50GBP, but that is for a half litre!
At another place we had Indian and it was the best I've ever had. Again, we blindly ordered Kingfisher beer which is popular in India and also came as a half litre and in my opinion was better than the Spitfire.

These may be out of sequence as I'm using two different cameras with numbering and the problem is exacerbated when we do two days in an area taking photos of the same thing, but differently. For example, a bus tour followed by a river cruise and lastly photos while on foot resulting in three different perspectives of the same thing. Oh my head.
Westminster and the Abby. I wanted just to shoot the front of the palace, but she wanted the whole tour. Fortunately we were just too tired, so all you see is a shot from the bus as we passed by Buckingham. Pity though, as it's only open for a few weeks in the year and was due to close for the season in three days of us being there. Good thing I'm not a royalist.
