Well, after lots of hot weather, then wind, then cold, then hot again, we are settled for a few days....at the famous free camp in Strathalbyn! We had a lovely welcome from Dot and George, who really are the walking wounded at the moment...how they manage to still joke and be cheerful I don't know, but they do!
It's perfect weather for me, an Aussie-Pom....cool at night but just comfortable during the day. We have picked up my Jimny, which Greg's sister was looking after...can't complain as they've had it nearly a year...but it has been driven on wierd air pressures...14 on one tyre, 31 on two other...when it should be 24 on the back and 26 on the front...or vice versa...so one tyre is bald on one side of it..Greg changed that, put the correct pressure in all tyres, we checked the oil (low) etc., and now all I have to do is put petrol in it and drive it!
Solicitors this Friday re my medical negligence claim, then we are house sitting in the hills not far away for 10 days before heading east.
We have had discussions about whether (as some say to us) this is a holiday. We say its a way of life! A holiday is when you do nothing....we keep busy and there's always jobs to do on car, caravan, just like having to keep a house maintained. And we sure have a list of jobs to do! Greg has a saying....I'll do it later...or tomorrow....
But sometimes it does get done!
Greg went to visit an old school mate a couple of days ago, to be told he is in hospital, in a vegetative state, having had a ruptured aorta and two strokes...we were both pretty upset...same age as Greg...grew up together....so we like to think we Re doing the right thing by doing what we are doing NOW as who knows what's around the corner?
Hoping Everyone reading this is enjoying life and living as much as we are!
Happy and safe travels
Dee N Greg
