What's for dinner tonight?

Post by Swisslulu »

So now that we have recovered from the packing and moving we have no excuse to eat out so tonight was last night's pork cutlets. After considering the instant mash comments, I decided to give it another go.

Continental (called Deb) was the only one available at the small lGA. But instead of plain mash, I decided to try an idea I had seen on Facebook mixing the dehydrated potato with bacon and spring onions in muffin pans. I also quartered Brussels sprouts (Erich's favourite vegetable), boiled in salted water till 3/4 cooked, drained then fried with chopped bacon. Pork cutlets always grilled with a 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon mustard smeared on each side.

Instead of dinner by candlelight, Erich called it dinner by Gnomelight! Gnomad providing the light source.Image

An absolute gastronomical delight tonight, bake beans on toast with a slice of tasty cheese and a fried egg  Gee we eat well when we are busy trying to get stuff done so we can bugger off for a while

Chorizo sausage for the meat eater, plus veggie stew, garlic bread, followed by apple cake maybe!

Lamb loin chops sprinkled with Sumac and grilled on the Baby Q. Probably cook the rest of the Brussels Sprouts and maybe one of those Continental Pasta side dishes.
