A nice NP at the southern tip of Yorke Peninsula, fantastic scenery along the coast!
It is very dry here and you need to bring your own water: While some information states there is water available, it is only small tanks capturing rain from the roof of toilets and all I tried were well & truly empty. Well worth the visit, I must say, and I am surprised how few people there are in the park at the moment - no doubt they are waiting for Easter!
Took advantage of the time available to instal an LED strip bought a while back. I kept changing my mind on where would be best to instal it, so an over-riding need for something to do now has it above my sink & workbench. Come nightfall will determine if that's a good spot.
Camped one nite at Pondalowie campground and walked out to the point for some great views of rolling surf, islands and beaches. Drove out to Browns Beach, very nice but there is 9 km of road that would suit those who like their martinis shaken, but not those who prefer theirs stirred. Currently bunkered at Stenhouse Bay campground waiting for the weather to improve. There is excellent cell & internet coverage and time on the internet seems to fly! Fortunately the sun pops out often enough to charge the house batteries off the solar panel.Innes NP, Yorke Peninsula SA

Looks like a top spot Loki, are you holding out there till Easter?
I think the no water thing will be much more common now the wet years have finished and the hot dry years are about to start. I think the new trend will be more about how much water you can carry rather than the battery capacity, or water makers rather than fuel cells.

Thanks Terry & Dot,
Yes this is a great spot, at least a couple of hundred photos worth - and I'm not done yet! I've taken some of my best seascape photos ever on the Yorke Peninsula, with Swincer Rocks topping the lot so far. Innes NP has some fantastic views and worth the visit if you are going to visit Yorke Peninsula. Its been a bit windy tho, with a neighboring couple in a motorhome losing their awning one night - we had to cut it free in the end as the wind was much too strong to let us bring it back over & roll it up again. The upside of the wind is that it creates some great seascapes.
I've booked into the Corny Point CP over Easter so I'll be in the area. From here its off to the Flinders Ranges, then saunter across the Nullarbor.
