Up the top or down by the water? We caught up with good friends who were travelling southward whilst we were going north there, & spent a very enjoyable week at Spring creek. There was a great community atmosphere as a result of folks looking out for each other at the camp site whilst others went into the Bungles.
I wondered if it was still like that since the pay for it camp site has opened up nearby somewhere?

"tanks" here----CUPPA, I have found Spring Creek in the Camps Aust book. It is # 643 and not very far from where I am at present. I also note that #
How long are you going to be there ?. Spring Creek is only about 350 km further North towards Kununarra and this will take me a day or so to arrive there.
I don't have a great desire to spend too much time in Fitzroy Crossing or Halls Creek for that matter. I want to spend time in Kununurra and visit with Keith Wright to renew old times.
[ Keith Wright was the pharmacist when we were building the Cliffs Robe River project, which now seams a long time ago].
You are so close --and if youb are going to be there for a few days I will pack up the Sprinter and be on my way to meet and greet you.
Send me your mobile number or use mine [0428-163-970] and we can make contact, if Telstra works up that way.
Keith.

I plan to have another birthday next year.

Hi Keith,
It's not me who is at Spring Creek at the moment, (mores the pity) it's Helen. If you do stop at Spring Creek, see if you can get a lift into the Bungles with someone, there will be folk driving in each day. If you haven't been in there you sure wouldn't regret it. The camp spot itself is OK, but we found it was the atmosphere among travellers there that really made it, mainly because veryone wanted to leave their caravans there to drive into the Bungles, so there was a lot of 'looking out' for each others vans.

Hey Keith, if you get there while Helen and Paul (those boring ones) are there they are doggie sitting so the parents can see the bungle bungles, pretty sure if you told em Dot told you to ask nicely that they would also keep an eye on Russell as well. :D

"tanks" has arrived at #643 -- SPRING CREEK. 107 km N/East from Halls Creek, down by the river. Look for the Sprinter with 6 inch letters "TANKS" on front and back.
I will be here for a few days battery charging and having a chat and a cuppa. Russell is marking all of the trees.
