Slow cookers

Post by bellett65 »

The M.o.W.a.F. was looking for a new slow cooker as the old one started to have a few issues. Silly things like the handles kept coming loose. then lo and behold Kogan to the rescue. I just bought one it seems to be quite good all rounder for home and van. Compact, not power hungry just the right size for the 2 of us. Priced quite keenly as well. Will let you know how it goes.

Peter, Is that really a slow cooker? It looks like a bread maker.

Picky, picky, picky Lesley, just a minor technicality  maybe it cooks bread slowly ;)

If you look at the link supplied you'll see that it cooks bread as well as everything else.
Seems like a great appliance to me .

Don't be cruel to poor Lesley, she had some strange looking mushrooms the other day.. ;) I noticed the 2 yr warranty compared to the normal 1 yr.. good one. if it does all those things it says it does sounds like a very good thing to have in a van/bus.

Well that's interesting. There is no link when I view the post in Tapatalk on the iPad but if I open the post in Safari, it magically appears.

Looks great if you're hooked up to shore power every night you want to cook...

With the exception of breadmaking, our Shuttle Chef does all that, while free camping!
Hot meals up to 12 hours after start-up.
No draining batteries with the inverter...
No gas consumption after the first 10~15 minutes to start the cooking process.
Paid for itself in saved gas-bottle refills in 2 years... not to mention saving on eating out.

I'd like to see the condition of your batteries after making a 3hr loaf of bread in that Toshiba 3-in-1 while free camping... :o

The good ol' Camp Oven and a bunch of hot coals will do us fine if we want fresh bread or damper.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Not a problem, the M.o.W.a.F. has run the slow cooker several times now for up to 7 hours and still lots of power left. It will be mainly used at home. I did see a specific bread maker at the Good Guys yesterday, Breville $399 and only one function. At the rate we eat bread that's 1576 days worth.
We did look at the shuttles and she said no.
