Hello formites,
Any chance that Barry could be enticed to post his "Rogues Gallery" onto this forum.
At least with the more open rules, the "koalas" won't be able to stifle and manipulate what is clearly the truth.
And of course, it will create a lot of interest in the forum. I'm pretty sure it is one of the main reasons that other forum is so popular.
Just a thought.
Cheers RR

Re: Rogues Gallery
Hi, I'm not sure which Barry you're talking about or which Rogue's Gallery but most of the members here are here because they're not impressed with some of the other forums and how they're moderated.
I think we're doing OK aren't we?

Re: Rogues Gallery
We have a good forum here so why invite rogues to come in. Leave them where they area.
Many of us don't post or in fact use some other forums because of the attitude taking by some people who ran the forums and the administrator etc that were in control.
Here we can have a laugh and discuss as adults so why would we want to lower ourselves to the level of the forums we ran away from.
Most of us joined this forum for the breath of fresh air.
We nearly all know who is who here, and the newer members I will assume will soon meet the group personally at a meet or on the road.
Regards
Brian

Re: Rogues Gallery
Brian I suspect RR was referring to a topic elsewhere that contained stories of various manufacturer or sellers of equipment that were rogues.
(faulty construction etc)
More like a "headsup" to warn others of the danger.
Unfortunately those topics do usually get a little out of hand at times.
Thankyou for the suggestion River Rat. No harm is suggesting it!

Think the originator of the gallery would need to be a member here first!

Maybe a sample might help. Then we could have a chin wag...

Re: Rogues Gallery
Norman I'm sure the reference is to Barry (AKA Cabcar)
The reference is to a 'section' on Caravaners Forum seen here.

Not sure it needs repeating?

Re: Rogues Gallery
Barry has retired from the Cabcar business, his son(s) run it now, and quite well going by Pelbo's smile. Barry is involve with the local man's shed now and I think he' very happy to keep that mess at arms length now he has retired. Some of the rogue's in the caravan assemblers (I won't degrade builders by putting them in the same category) have been know to use legal and physical threats when they are exposed and I think Barry just had enough of that crap.
Barry did do an excellent piece of exposing what could be lurking under the skins of many well known brand name caravans, 5'ers and motorhomes, makes you glad you built your own so you know just what is there after seeing that lot.
