new Avida Caravans

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Now, if they had opened the door and shown the inside to show there was no damage or no special inside fabrication to take the weight on the roof it would have been impressive, but without that ........

Hi, all.

Should have tried it with some of the younger Franna drivers I've encountered..

I would be surprised if almost any caravan couldn't take that, without modification, the wheels are virtually over the walls, the strongest part of the construction, like cardboard boxes you can stack them ad finitum, if they are the same size and the walls are taking the weight. Try putting it the other way round with the wheels in the middle of the roof and then I would be impressed.

Sorry to be such a nayer Craig. I am just amazed at the person who thought up the idea in the first place. Not really sure that I am convinced by the side show. I tend towards Terry's point of view. If we could see proof that there is no extra structural support and that the internals of either were not damaged, maybe then the clip would have been worth the expense/danger of making it.

Underside looked tidy though. Suspension didn't look like it completely bottomed either
I have to say that when we were on the hunt for our motorhome, we were disappointed by the Winnebago show vehicle presentations. The one we were interested in had sawdust and loose screws in the cupboards, gaps in the woodwork, and split wood on one of the hatches.

Sorry Craig, but that sort of thing doesn't particularly impress me, show me that there was no tricks involved and hat there was zero damage done, maybe tow it through a test track set up like that to show it could handle the added weight, then I'd be impressed, but a carefully stage sideshow act doesn't do it for me.
