We hope to in Burren Junction in a day two continuing our quest to visit as many thermal pools as we can on our way home. From Burren Junction we are heading to Pilliga (we have been to Pilliga a few years ago) my question is on the road from Burren Junction to Pilliga still dirt ??? if so is it a good dirt road or are we better to go via Wee Waa.. Thanks...

Ros, we did that stretch in the opposite direction back in May. It was about 40 km of reasonably good dirt road that we travelled at about 60 kph but if there has been rain since then, it could be a different story now. Best to check with the locals or other travellers once you get to Burren Junction. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
