Rego Cost.

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

you aren't asking the question correctly Dirk. You front up at the counter and say you've been told on the phone you can register your motorhome for free as you are a pensioner, then they will tell you what it really will cost to register your motorhome

Thanks Terry what's you address, full name and bank account details. Ever tried to get onto the RTA on their brilliant phone system, There aren't enough numbers on the phone to press. Slip up and make the wrong choice and you are back to ringing all over again. Guess we are lucky we aren't ringing the Philippines or India like with Telstra.

And if you are a pensioner you can register it for free (as long as you haven't already got a free registered vehicle).

You want my full name, well, to make it sound correct you need to say it with your tongue hanging out the left side of your mouth and dribble while you talking, that's the way I normally talk when I'm full so my name wouldn't be any different I'm guessing. Not sure how that's going to help though Dirk :?

Terry,

Sounds like me when I am under the weather......

G'Day Jim,

Thanks for the input. I did hear that motor homes and caravans were considered assets and as such didn't come under the free rego. bit. I'll have to look into this one now.

Dirk,

Yep free rego for pensioners in NSW.

Not only that - I have free rego on my Cruiser & the Naviagtor has free rego on the caravan.

Likewise when we had the Winnie & the little Suzy (Toad) - one registered in each name.

G'Day Chuck,

We have free rego on the Prado but wasn't sure about the bus. Its pretty big and heavy and wasn't sure if this fits the category or not. Jeez I hope it does though as its a huge saving. Might have to shuffle things around a bit me thinks.

I was gunna say I'd be keeping an ear/eye open regarding the pensioner discount too..... but it could be a while before I get a pension, especially since they keep moving the goal posts
