HI, all.
I've heard mutterings of a pub West of here (Inverell) which serves a monster burger. Anyone know it's location?
BTW Poppy's in River Hills serves a massive burger for the next time you're in Brisbane. Do not order the T.Rex unless your intention is to share it with the local Rugby Union team.

Hi, all.
I found it! I found it! The Nindigully Pub has on their menu called The Road Train Burger, which weighs 5.5 kg, including salad and chips, and features a 1.5 kg patty. Guess all I need is to send a fax to my unfriendly bank manager, and if the reply is in the positive flick off the salad and chips to Mrs shonky then discreetly pile any leftovers into several doggie bags.
NB it costs $60. Any steak on the menu is over $30.

Hi, all.
Shirley - great camp, no question, but $35 for a steak? The kid's menu has a cheeseburger and chips for $8 which is more my line. Mrs shonky served up an inch thick eye fillet followed by helpings of chokky ice-cream with Bailey's Irish Cream sauce added liberally. Ahhh.

Nindigully Pub also holds (at the time I was there last) the record for the largest burger. The one that I saw was cut up and shared with a number of people after Channel 10 had videoed it. The piece that I got was enough to feed both myself and my wife.

shonky, nindigully is worth the trip. we didn't order the monster burger you speak of but it was worth it for what we did order and to top it off free camping with shower. there is an even bigger burger available now that needs to be ordered at least 24 hours in advance s the bun is shaped like a truck.

Hi, alll.
madie'smum - Had a look at the menu and found a small burger with chips served lunchtime for only $14.50. Burger was quite large, chips were excellent, and one can rationalise the expense by not needing dinner. Mrs shonky usually provides a large cooked breakfast, but a couple of bikkies with the coffee will suffice. Have to make room for the lunchtime steak sandwich ...
