Well, it finally happened.
Was typing up a document for Dot'n'George re the incorporation of their Op-Shop they are raising from the ground.
Typing is not a problem with me, 60+ wpm compliments of military communications training, but... BUT... they don't teach you about Microsoft stuff like Microsoft Word Start 2010 which is what was using. Yeah, I know it's probably not the best tool to use but, had XP as the laptop till last year then a computer bloke convinced me to go up to W7 & he did it for bugger all really so initially I was happy.
Anyhow, finished the document this arvo after a couple of days typing... not that it was that long but the use of Word Start is bloody awful. So much so that when I finished it, then saved it again, then wanted to email a copy to D&G as well as my eldest daughter whose a whiz on these things & admin type stuff so pressed the 'Email' choice...
And it disappeared. Have searched all my files and zilch.
Any ideas on if it is still in the laptop, if so ho do I resurrect it?
Step by step instructions ... please.
It just went... POOF!!

It should be there somewhere. I would go to Windows Explorer (Where all your directories, sub-directories and files are) click on C drive then search for a particular word in the document that might be peculiar to that document, or otherwise, might not feature in many other documents.
If the document has lost its suffix it might just be lost in there somewhere.

In your email folders, check Draft and sent folder. It may be there. Or press control f and do a search on your c drive. (If you haven't already)

What is Word Start? I've just been upgraded to a flash new 'puter and Windows 7 and Word 2010 and I was surprised just how easy the transition was, both Margaret and I were expecting dummy spits galore, but I haven't had an issue with it. Took a little while to find things in the new Powerpoint 2010, but that wasn't really a big issue either.

No G is still up and making his raisin bread toast after a long day planning the stone guard for the bus and also trying to get things packed away in and under the bus. His Wheel wrench thingo arrived today so that slowed his working up a tad

Good stuff Chuck.
I can only imagine how the head is spinning.
Forms 1 to 12???
When I did it in Victoria they allow you to just submit the "standard" application with the "standard" rules with minor adjustments.
Any major alterations to the "standard" one requires a complete rewrite of the RULES.
I hope the nominated treasurer is a different one to THAT other one?
