and Tom & Carmel have been telling us that God's country is cold, it did dip below the 10*C for a few nights but poor Carmel has been rugged up like Eskimo Joe since she arrived

You would only be around 20km from the coast where you are wouldn't you? I remember Maleny was cold this time of year, but it further down and up high on a mountain...... maybe you should have moved south the god's country instead

Rutherglen has been a bit nippy the last coupla daze...
Fog so thick we couldn't see the trees in the back yard - 20ft from the back door!
Temp has occasionally dropped to zero, but no negative figures yet.
I note Canberra has had a few days of -3 deg!
Glad I no longer live there! I could take it when I was 21... not now!

Couldn't believe it could get so cold at night once we headed south from Litchfield National Park! Seems anything south of Katherine is woolie weather at night. During the day even here at Clem Walton Park (camps six #309) in Qld tee shirt and shorts are the order of the day - emphasis DAY.

There were reports of ice on the HUME highway causing accidents at Wangaratta (Vic, just nearby) yesterday afternoon
Makes you appreciate summer, thats for sure

Weather report says it's 16 today here at Lake Macquarie but really freezing cold wind been blowing all day feels a lot colder, good day to stay inside.
