Nomads Of Australia

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Nomads Of Australia

Post by TheBushRat »

G'day,

This may be of interest to those who are in FaceBook.

There's a bunch of people trying to form a political party to endeavour to improve the lot of nomads in Oz - better camping etc etc.

I think they deserve support at least until their direction is made clearer.

Hi, all.

Heard today of a free camp north of Townsville experiencing persistent vandalism. The police installed a security camera and filmed the local caravan park owner smashing all the dunnies to bits with a hammer.
See you on the back roads,

This is typical of the crap we're up against. We can leave it to individual groups (CMCA etc) to try to improve things, but that's going to take close to forever. Or we can hope that a group such as this attracts enough members to have real muscle.

Pretty simple choice I reckon.

There was talk of maybe a similar action at Calliope,Qld a couple of years back when the toilets had concrete set in them.

G'day Dirk,

When you go into FB, you'll receive a notification of having joined. There's a section in there where you can have some input into formulation of policy etc.

I can see a group such as this having a major effect, providing we can get the numbers up into the many thousands. With so many caravanners, motor homers etc out there, should be easy. It's up to each of us to spread the word and increase the membership. Some of you are in several forums - spread the word.
