I came across this U tube video which is worth a look -- shows what happens when you do not look before going under a low bridge.
11foot8 bridge crashes
Sorry I do not know how to post the actual link but the above should get you there.

Was it this one Barrie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzkWTcDZFH0 Watching all those 5er's peeling off the hatches and air con units has got to be the silliest, some even take it slow and still rip them all off. The truck that hits it at full speed lifting wheels off the ground must be crowned the winner though, I wonder it he went through the windscreen as well

Perhaps we can just watch it without too many derogatory comments? (Blatantly obvious?)

That is the one Terry. Did you notice that there were warning lights mounted on the bridge and yet all those pictured still went through, some at speed.

Hi, all
Have a quiet thought for those owner drivers working long hours to meet their repayments and contractual arrangements, and consider that after a serious collision they end up in hospital.
BTW try getting your local council to install audible barriers at one dangerous, and battered, rail bridge - I tried it and was promised they'll look into it. I recall after donating blood in town coming home past this spot and saw that a large cherry picker truck had tried coming through, with enough force to bend his turntable upwards. Always wondered if my donation helped out after he was hospitalised...
Some truck drivers are female, incidentally.
P.S.Can we replace the word "dumb" with "fatigued"???
