We have a Waeco 60ltr, bought it for our honeymoon trip to Qld so it's about 10 1/2yrs old now, still works a treat. They do not like low battery voltage, the red low compressor voltage has been known to flash but a good shake of the connector plug usually set it right again, haven't seen the issue arise on lithium batteries though so the higher voltage must agree with them better. Accidently bumped the emergency switch once, froze everything solid, I was not the most popular boy on the block that week end I can assure you

I used to have a Chescold Shirley and am so sorry I sold it before I bought my second M/Home.
It was gas/12v & 240v. You could use it as a fridge or as a freezer. Ours was one of the 'old' style made of steel.
We now have an Engel which is 12v, 24v or 240v. Very happy with it but noisy bugger at night when it starts up or stops!!
It has 2 compartments .... fridge & freezer.
What was your intended use Shirley?

We already have a 110l Coolmatic in the bus just thought it might be good to have a 50l portable fridge as extra especially the bigger freezing capacity? We have managed with the Coolmatic for over 10 years.

Hi Shirley, we have JUST bought a Bushman, I have been keeping an eye on Craig's experience with the same type before we bought this a few weeks ago. He is still very happy with it's performance after a couple of years. We have finally got to fill it up with frozen meals in the bus and it has done well so far, this is our test run for it. If their customer service is anything to go by then all should be great.

No ours is 12/240 but what I like about it is you can put the "collars" on to the original unit and that expands the size from ?35 to ? 52lt from memory, G has put the info away somewhere.

The Waeco is a 12v/24v or 240vac with a plug in power unit. If you are looking for an old 3 way chest cold esky type fridge I have one in the back shed some where. Not being a fan of 3 way fridges at all I wasn't terribly impressed with its performance, but I guess it worked as well as could be expected for a 3 way fridge, it did freeze the finned thing up near the lid.
So, if you are interested, let me know and I'll extract it from its hiding spot and take a few photos.
